I purchased this basketball goal for my 8yr old grandson and have been really pleased with the product. I had a small issue with the rim, it has a small crack in the metal part of the rim, but I received a message that they have sent a new rim on the way, super fast reply from them and a great overall experience. Would recommend this goal to anyone looking for a superior basketball goal from a great company that offers excellent customer service.

As a former serious scholastic basketball player I believe that rim height is extremely important for someone who is refining his/her shooting skills. The many competitors' comparable products that I examined have height adjustments that are not suitable for fine-tuning. I want mine at exactly 10 feet, not merely close. On this unit the actuator with crank provides an easy manner for assuring precision. I have noticed that some owners of portable units seem not to care but I'm sure that I'm not alone in wanting it to be "just right." For example, if the purchase is for someone who will be playing competitively indoors, it makes no sense to practice at home on a unit where the rim height is 9' 11" and then expect to produce your best effort in a game (or tryout) where the height is at regulation. This unit works like a charm.Also - after reading reviews about the difficulty of assembling portable units, I was prepared for a long, drawn-out process where I would likely have to call on someone for assistance at certain phases of the project - if for no other reason than to have an extra pair of hands. To the contrary - the instructions are straight-forward and simple. I did it alone with no difficulties what-so-ever. In my opinion the secret to such a pleasant experience is to follow the steps as they are presented and illustrated and to pay close attention to the appropriate sizes of the bolts/nuts as you select them. That way, you won't have to "back up" and redo anything and you'll have it assembled in no time.
