Great for the price, so far so good!

I looked into TRX and Jungle Gym products. I have actually played around with the Trx suspension trainer but was turned off by the price. The SKLZ power strapz are well constructed and easy to use. The knotches are numbered so it is easy to sync up the seperable straps. It provides a good at home workout and appears that it will last a while. If I have any wear and tear issues I will update you guys. I am a competitive female athlete that trains heavily 5x a week but I bought this product to supplement my workouts and incorporate stabilizer muscles and bodyweight exercises. I like the idea that I can get a hotel workout in when I travel. This product is great for an athlete, stay at home mom, really anyone who is trying to either get fit or try a different style of training.

finally making progress!
By just ME
I've had weak shoulders all my life, and for years haven't even been able to do "girl pushups" without cheating. My physical therapist had me doing wall pushups (no gravity resistance) and then table pushups, but I couldn't find a surface that was low enough and stable enough to offer a bit more resistance without putting too much weigh on my shoulders causing me to collapse. I tried using the edge of a coffee table or sofa, but ended up pushing them across the floor. These straps seem to be the solution. When I first got them I had them set for a length that was about the height of my kitchen cabinets (which I had been using as a base). I thought it would be easy but the added instability of the straps made it even more challenging. After a couple weeks at that level, I've now moved down a notch. It's definitely more difficult, but I can DO it! After years of frustration and shoulder pain, finally some progress. Thank you!!

Limited but decent
By Dienne
My husband is quite the fitness nut and between us we travel a fair amount, so I thought this looked interesting to try out. The concept and design is actually fairly simple. You have two long straps designed to go over a door (between the door and the door frame). On one end of each strap is a handle designed for gripping, while on the other end is a stirrup designed for supporting either your upper arms or your ankles. Each end offers two exercises for a total of four exercises which work the major areas of your body.If you use the handle end, you can either do chest presses or a back row. For chest presses, simply adjust the straps so that you can lean out at about a 45 degree angle and do push ups. For back rows, adjust the straps so that the handles are almost out of reach while you're laying flat on the floor, then pull yourself up. The stirrup end allows for supported push-ups if you lower the stirrup to about a foot off the floor and put your feet in them, or for abdominal work if you put your arms in the stirrups and raise your legs (the stirrups should obviously be about arm height for this exercise). These four exercises aren't going to sculpt and tone your whole body, and used alone you probably won't seem much result, but used in conjunction with other exercise methods, or used while you're traveling and unable to do your normal workout, this equipment can be a helpful addition to your repertoire. It is also possible that a creative fitness buff may be able to find additional exercises to do with this equipment. Obviously, all these exercises use one's own body weight, so the actual work-out you get will depend on your size. One final thing I would caution is that the door you use must be sturdy and the door must be able to fully close and latch with the straps over the top. Our downstairs was built in 1928 and the doors are quite solid. However, it was difficult to get the door closed and latched with the straps over the door. This could be dangerous as some of the exercises will inevitably involve you pushing against the door and you could get injured if the door were to suddenly swing open while you were suspended from it. We tried the straps in our newly-added upstairs, but those doors are far too light to handle the weight of a full-grown adult (although they did close securely and supported our four- and six-year-old daughters securely). We were finally able to find one door downstairs with enough clearance to close the door securely with the straps. That door supported my husband's weight with no problem, and he is about 200 pounds. I would imagine most hotel doors should be sturdy enough, but I'd be cautious using this if you are staying at a private home. Also, of course, because the straps go over the door, the ends you are not using will be hanging down the other side of the door. If you are at a hotel, you might want to use the bathroom door rather than the entry door.
