Lifetime 90073 Acrylic Fusion 44-inch Pro Court Portable basketball system has a 27 gallon Pro Court base and a 44-inch sturdy acrylic fusion backboard, giving you the confidence to go up strong without fear of breaking it. The 3 piece, 2.75 inch round telescoping pole joins the solid base and backboard. Our backboard integrates a clear playing surface with high-impact polyethylene frame, that provides a superior strength and pro-glass look. All graphics are screen-printed with UV-protected inks, offering fade-resistant color. The portable 27 gallon base can be filled with 225 lbs of water or 378 lbs of sand. Made of polyethylene and blow-molded to form a seamless, one-piece part that has superior strength and durability. UV-protected and won't crack or degrade outdoors. Product of the U.S.A.

I purchased the Lifetime basketball system. I don't know if I can play with it, so I am not providing a product review. In front of me, there are 2 big boxes of identical product #90073 but I was not able to assemble any of them. The first package came 10 days ago, but missing a few screws and bolts, there should be totally 5 packs of parts, but at least 1 of them is missing. Since these parts is critical (bolts on the main stand), I was not able to assemble it.I contacted Lifetime and since I located overseas, they immediately asked me to contact the retailer, which is Amazon. I was delighted to receive rapid response from Amazon that my previous purchase was refunded and they will bill and ship another unit within a few days. Though I found spending big sum of shipping 55lb is a bit of waste, I glad that Amazon's service is good.The second package arrived today. But unfortunately, more screws and bolts are missing!! There is only 1 pack of screws included, comparing with 4 in previous package. And I was not that lucky the only pack included is what I missed. Combining everything from TWO packages, I was still not able to assemble the basketball system.I started to think it may be the habit or Lifetime that if product sold within North America, they may send out the missing parts upon the complain from customers. Otherwise, this could be a killing factor of expensive customer services to cover up all these missing parts.I suggested Amazon not to sell any Lifetime products to overseas customer and consider adding alert to it's products or else more problems and subsequently cost will arise.It is a very bad experience to purchase Lifetime products from Amazon. And I think I will not do it again.

I purchased this product after reading many reviews. I saw all the complaints about the nuts and bolts not being all there. I though this must be a few isolated cases, yet I am on my way to the hardware store to purchase the hardware I need to finish the assembly, either that or call customer service and wait for replacement parts. My wife and I just bought this as a birthday gift, only to find that some of the bolts are missing. It might be a great product once it's put together, but until that happens, it's just been a waste of time and money (not to mention a huge disappointment to our son whose birthday is tomorrow). We'll see how Lifetime's customer service comes through, as well as how good a product it is, but when you pay $170 for something, you expect to be able to assemble and use the thing immediately. That this doesn't appear to be an isolated incident doesn't exactly speak highly of Lifetime Products.UPDATE: I'm raising the rating to 3 stars. Lifetime got the parts that I needed to me and once it's put together, it's rather solid. Honestly, it's a little overpriced for what it is, but most things are these days it seems. When push comes to shove though, it's a decent, solid basketball system that should have had all the parts I needed to assemble it from day one.Also, let me stress that you should set the height where you want it from the get go. I thought I had, but ended up having to drop it by six inches. This is extremely difficult, two people or not. The top pole simply would not move down, no matter how much I tried to wiggle and cajole it down the middle pole, not even enough to get the bolt out. Ultimately I ended up stripping the bolt when I forced it out, resulting in an impromptu trip to Lowe's for a suitable replacement. Set it at the desired height from the get-go so that you'll be able to avoid this.Overall, it's not a bad system. It's sturdy and designed well enough, I'm just not convinced that all of the parts fit just as they should. Throw in the fact that you'll be lucky to get all the parts that you need, and it's hard to find anywhere near enough positives to recommend it. Proceed with caution and make sure you have all the parts you need as soon as you receive it.
